the excitement of subscription….
Seriously, they could have charged another full price for permanent licenses and most users would have been happy to pay for it, but they did this instead.
Yep. It’s basically $800 for the slime bridge.. Redshift costs extra.. Hard pass.
I still love that during the live stream nobody actually said the price out loud. Paul only said something along the lines of “You can check out the website to find out more about the pricing and other questions”.
Zbrush users are like architect users in max but worst, usually their tech knowhow is average to low, they usually dont know anything else other than zbrush as a standalone software, they view and judge every other software based on their zbrush experience, zbrush is the modern equivalent to what twitter is to some of us growing up in the 70s, 80s and 90s.
They wont ask for the price because A- they either dont know what is value for money and take big brothers word for it or B- they dont use any other software and can afford to pay. Hence zbrush users….
they do offer permanent licenses for ZBrush : https://www.maxon.net/en/buy/perpetual but at least having a redshift seat to sue will working with it like Autodesk does with Arnold would have been welcome.
You can almost feel the Maxon acquisition with this one.. ZBrush major versions used to have a ton of new cool features.. Now the integration of an existing product is the major feature. Am I missing something? First ZB release that’s just Meh, below Meh even…
The only good thing about this release is the damage to maxons brand
