The DIEM project – tracking eye-movement when watching videos
How do we look at film, television, on-line video or real-life events? How does looking influence what we see, remember and feel? Researchers at the University of Edinburgh's Visual Cognition Lab, led by Professor John Henderson, have developed CARPE, a visualization tool designed to answer these questions. CARPE allows to visualize eye-movement data in a number of ways, such as clustering of eye-movements, heat-map visualizations, contours, peek-through, and more. Videos analyzed include film trailers, music videos, sports matches, the Simspons' intro, Formula 1 racing, and more. Watch the videos on Vimeo and find out more at The DIEM Project.
