SideFX releases Houdini 16

SideFX has announced the immediate release of Houdini 16. The latest version brings many features, including a new network editor, viewport radial menus, grooming toolset, booleans, new fluid, destruction and terrain tools, and an autorigging system. World Machine updated

A new development build (3014) of the procedural terrain creation software is available to registered owners. New features include a major reworking of the River device to fully support multiple rivers and hierarchical river systems, and a usability improvement that lets you view the “before and after” of any device in the 3D view. The developers of Cinema 4D have launched a new website dedicated to hosting prototypes of useful features for the software that don't make it into a release or need more testing. The content is developed by Maxon, provided “as is” and free of charge. Feedback from users is encouraged by Maxon so the company can gauge how useful a tool is and how it needs to be adapted to make it even better. More on Maxon Labs' website.
