Google announces Daydream VR platform

Google has announced Daydream, a platform for high quality mobile virtual reality. Google is working with a number of smartphone manufacturers to create a specification for Daydream-ready phones. These smartphones will enable VR experiences with high-performance sensors for smooth, accurate head tracking and fast response displays to minimize blur. Daydream-ready phones will take advantage of VR mode in Android N, a set of powerful optimizations for virtual reality built right into Android. Krita 3.0 review

With v3.0 of the open source painting software soon to be released, a thorough video review has been made available by game designer Nathan Lovato, along with a text version, discussing the new features. Krita 3.0 will bring some major features such as animation support as well as significant performance improvements for handling large images, and it will also add some essential minor enhancements such as the ability to nudge a selection in single pixel increments. Also of note, Krita's 2016 Kickstarter campaign is still gathering funds for developing better text and vector drawing tools.
