Sketchfab adds animation support

Paris-based Sketchfab, the company dedicated to online model publishing and sharing, has added the ability to display animated models. Only FBX format is supported at this time. The system is currently in beta and artists are invited to join testing. Check out some sample animated models and find out more on Sketchfab's website.

Luxion announces KeyShot integration plugins for Maya and Cinema 4D

Luxion, developers of KeyShot interactive rendering and animation software, announced new free plugins for Maya 2016 and Cinema 4D that add export of Maya and Cinema 4D files directly to KeyShot. Additionally, users have full LiveLinking support to update model changes in KeyShot and may export KeyShot .bip files without the need to have KeyShot installed. More on Luxion's website.

RE:Vision Effects releases DE:Flicker with GPU support for Premiere Pro

RE:Vision Effects has announced DE:Flicker for Premiere Pro, with support now included when purchasing DE:Flicker for After Effects. DE:Flicker is designed to smooth out those annoying flicker and artifacts when shooting high frame rate or timelapse video. It not only fixes flicker from artificial light sources but also fixes flicker on multiple objects, even when those objects flicker at different rates. (more...)

In addition to V-Ray for Nuke, Chaos Group has announced V-Ray for Modo at SIGGRAPH 2015. A video has been made available that showcases the workflow and feature set of the beta version of V-Ray inside of Modo. For more details, and to sign up for the beta, you can visit the Chaos Group website.
