Allegorithmic integrates NVidia DesignWorks into Substance Designer

Allegorithmic has announced that Substance Designer has added integration with NVidia's DesignWorks. The NVIDIA Iray SDK will bring photorealistic rendering to Substance Designer, which will give users the ability to accurately predict what their final designs will look like. Shotgun 6.3 to bring new review and pipeline features

Shotgun Software announced the upcoming release of v6.3 of their production tracking and review software. Improvements include new review and approval features and an updated Client Review Site to streamline collaboration and communication within teams, across sites and with clients. Shotgun's Pipeline Toolkit incorporates the Shotgun Panel, which will let artists communicate directly with other artists and see only the information relevant to their tasks directly inside their tools, along with a refreshed Workfiles tool to find and navigate to relevant files more quickly. 3DS Max 2016 Extension 1 released

The latest extension for 3DS Max 2016 has been released bringing a host of new features and improvements. 3DS Max 2016 Extension 1 brings updates that include TextPlus, the new 3D text tool, Geodesic Voxel and Heatmap Skinning for better generation of skinning, enhanced support for physically-based shaders when working with Stingray and ShaderFX, new animation capabilities in MCG and much more. Maya 2016 Extension 1 released

Autodesk has released Extension 1 for Maya. New features and improvements include a new text tool for creating multi-line deformable type, Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) support, new procedural texture and image processing nodes, streamlined game exporter workflows, live linking between Maya and the Stingray game engine, etc. More details on this extension release should show up soon on the Autodesk website.

Mari 3 new features

The Foundry has released a list of new features that will be included in the upcoming version of its 3D painting software, set to be released in the fall. OpenSubdiv support, Arnold, V-Ray, Unreal and Redshift shaders, are just a few of them.
