Unity Technologies has released the latest version of its multiplatform engine and development tools, adding a highly-optimized rendering pipeline for VR and AR devices, an easy to use multiplayer networking solution and over 70 smaller improvements, with a focus on 2D and animation features. Austrian filmmaker Conrad Tambour has made available online the graduation short he created at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, which deals with the subject of aging in a humorous way. The film was created mainly with Maya, V-Ray and Nuke. Watch it on Vimeo.

Babioles episodes to be available online

Babioles is a creation of French director Mathieu Auvray. The video series presents CG-animated children toys that find themselves lost in an adult world. The series aims to point out the great distortions produced by grown ups' way of life through the naive eyes of the little characters. The 23 episodes of Babioles were produced with Blender and will be made available online starting June 15th. You can watch the trailer and pilot episode on the series' YouTube channel.
