Fabric Engine for Modo and Cinema 4D announced, Unreal Engine integration under development

Fabric Software announced that it's working with The Foundry and Maxon to integrate the Fabric Engine development framework with Modo and Cinema 4D. Tools developed with Fabric Software's platform for creating high-performance cross-platform tools for applications such as 3DS Max, Maya and Softimage, will now work with Modo, and in the future with Cinema 4D, too. Krita launches new Kickstarter campaign

The developers of the open source image editing software have launched a new Kickstarter campaign to accelerate its development, this time focusing on making the software faster than Photoshop at handling big canvases and turning it into a quality 2D animation tool. Panoramic video from unstructured camera arrays

Researchers at Disney have devised a method for stitching videos of a scene captured by different cameras and creating spatiotemporally stable panoramic video. The method allows for the generation of panoramic video in the order of tens to over a hundred megapixels. More on Disney Research's website.
