Two alumni from French animation school Gobelins, Max Maleo and Aurelien Prédal, who worked on the short film Burning Safari ten years ago, got together once again to collaborate on a new fast-paced CG short called Batz. The film's production was funded thanks to a Kickstarter campaign. Watch the film on Batz' website.

London-based Stinkdigital has created an interactive tour of the renowned Abbey Road Studios in collaboration with Google. Various CG technologies were used to capture and integrate the different elements that compose the presentation, including Lidar scanning, panoramic images, WebGL, etc. The resulting browser-based interactive presentation showcases the studio's history, its legendary stories (The Beatles, Pink Floyd and many others recorded their songs at the studio), and the equipment and engineers. A collection of microphones was also recreated in 3D by Studio Aiko using Modo, with rendering done with V-Ray.
