Boomer Labs has updated its plugin that allows to cache animated geometry (including slow rigs or particles created with Particle Flow) for fast playback, retiming, easy sharing (works across Max versions 2010-2016) and protection (no need to share source files). New features include:
- 3DS Max 2015/2016 support
- Improved baking performance
- Support for specifying Particle Flow Events
- Extensive set of viewport and playback acceleration options
- Frame Rate matching capability
Plus UI and stability improvements. To aid in the sharing of SuperMesher caches a free SuperMesher Reader is provided, designed for distribution for Render Farms and client interactions. A trial version is available for download. More on Boomer Labs’ website.
Alembic is already in 3dsmax and has improved in max2016. Why would someone want to use this over free Alembic or even Xmesh?
