Monica Eggert’s demo reel

One of the most creative and entertaining reels that have surfaced in a long time. Spanish animator Monica Eggert has recently finished her studies at Pepe-School-Land and produced this remarkable character animation reel under the supervision of Daniel Martínez Lara, as part of the Demo Reel Creation course taught at the school. Polder Animation on Now You Know It Anyway

Dutch studio Polder Animation talks to Filmnosis about the making of the remarkable short film Now You Know It Anyway, which deals with the subjects of making art vs. the commercial aspects of the creative profession. The studio headed by Bastiaan Schravendeel, Sander Kamermans and Jean-Paul Tossings created the short using Maya, Mari, Mental Ray and Nuke back in 2011. Road to Buzludzha

Senior 3D designer and Archviz artist Vincent Filhine-Trésarrieu has made a great short about the Buzludzha Monument, a building constructed by the Communist Party in Bulgaria that served as venue for official events until the fall of the Soviet Union. The film was made using 3DS Max, Speedtree, Terragen 4 and Blender, among others. The artist also composed the music for the short. Watch the film on this news item. (more...)
