I am glad they are, though remains to be seen if they listen. I would really love if they’d stop polarizing/biasing the software so strongly and neglect some aspects completely – such as ANIMATION! We’re not asking much – fix the cat stretching(+ any other issues with it), drop biped if you have to(or better fix), perhaps add muscles, fix track /dope view(age old resize bug, some maya features wouldnt hurt, speed). Coming from commercial studio, a lot of studios use it for its insanely fast production speed, nonlinear and nondestructive workflow, out of the box solutions like cat as well as it being generous with network licenses. It’s a true Swiss knife software. You cannot take animation out of equation completely, these are very hard deadlines to meet! Bouncing between other AD software is not a solution either nor changing pipeline to other AD. Instead commercial studios increasingly find C4D as a great solution because it allows for all that fast production and is very solid and powerful all around. It truly listens to the market needs where as it seems AD is too busy trying to forcefully fit these once* all-around powerful softwares to certain templates that please the investors and minimize development costs. Tnx.
