(Updated) Good news, someone has offered to help out with the development of Bullet4Max and the original author has stated that he also intends to “pick it up again when [he has] more time for it”. Read the comment posted by Stig Atle Steffensen on this news item.
Due to lack of time, Stig Atle Steffensen has regrettably discontinued the development of his open source plugin for integrating Bullet physics into Max (according to his words, the project is now at his lowest priority). He is making the code available for anyone who would like to continue the effort. More on Bullet4max.com.

Noooooo! Really sad to hear this 🙁 I understand though. Tool development is incredibly time consuming. It’s great that he’s made it open source at least unlike so many other abandoned tools, developed for months/years only to be locked away forever. Maybe someone will pick up the torch and run with it!
Hi ,thank you.
I will pick it up again when I have more time for it.
I have one guy who wants to help out – and that helps me a lot as well, that the whole point of making it open source 🙂
Great to hear! Gotta love open-source 🙂 I’m excited to see how far you guys get!
