Nekki has announced the release of an early access version of Cascadeur, its new character animation software that promises to create realistic movement just by applying the laws of physics. As well as physics, there are several other interesting features including AI-based AutoPosing and an AutoPhysics tool that simplifies character posing and animation.
Nekki has also announced its pricing structure with some good news for hobbyists, freelancers and small studios. For users with an annual income of less than $100,000, the Cascadeur Basic Edition will be completely free of charge.
For companies with higher turnovers and greater support needs, Nekki offers Pro and Business subscriptions for $300 and $1,000 per year. As part of an Early Access special offer, these prices are 50% off for a limited time. A rent to own perpetual scheme is also different that allows annual subscribers who decide against an extension after the first year to continue to use their installed version as a perpetual license.
