Good timing. Now that Autodesk is collapsing it’s the right time to create some competition. I hope that Autodesk can take their hands away of Maxon,The Foundry e.a. They destroy all good products like Edit, Combustion, SI-Xsi, Cleaner and 3ds Max.
Antonio, I think Adobe have dibs on C4D!

Hmm.., good to know Nik. Although a trust Adobe more then Autodesk CEO. If they can make C4D as strong as 3dsMax. They can change the 3D animation scene. Forget Alias Maya, it’s another kind of (nurbs based) modelling. Forget Autodesk! They will do the same with Maya as they do with 3dsMax now. They will deliver an ‘egg’ (shape) in 3 years.
Buy some third party plugs, milk it out and then get rid of it and buy other companies. They really don’t care about the users who put years of efforts to learn. Think about Edit and Combustion. Last 3 years you can see at Autodesk how they push their Maya Tutorials and training materials. 3dsMax training material is 6 years old. Good that we can exchange tutorials in the user groups. Nevertheless 3dsMax (and Combustion)(RIP) were good products.
