Pier Janssen has posted a number of previews showing the great improvements he is bringing to his excellent Outliner scene management plugin: preview 1 (selection-set mode, merge nested layers and automatic inherit layer properties), preview 2 (plugin architecture that allows users to add new functionality) and preview 3 (presets and multiple treeviews). Also of note, Pier has updated the list of planned features for Outliner 3.0.
