That is the weirdest backwards step imo. Why would you go out of your way to make it harder to save a file? Save for web being extremely slow certainly doesn’t help.
it was really odd going to save my file to see no other option.
You can set it back to the old way. Preferences > File Handling > Enable legacy “Save As”.
