*sarcastic* WOW!!! That’s incredible!!! That’s innovation!!!
For sure, I can see where all that subscription $$$ is going… 😉
Bezier splines, the wave of the future.
Geniuses. Mind you, I would quite like that tool in my CS6.
Yeah, great tool… would you like to pay several thousands of euros along several years for that tool?
Cheers
Woah.. Absolutely not. 🙂 While it seems like quite a nice tool its not worth the rolling price and hassle associated with CC. And as others have said its well overdue.
I do agree that while this is definitely an improvement, if curves in Photoshop did not suck so incredibly hard past 20 years, this would not seem noteworthy at all. Took them just 20 years to get it right.
However I can’t see why anyone would complain about the price. $10/month for Photoshop and Lightroom on top of that is dirt cheap.
As always, the problem is not the price but the model, there are some of us that don’t want to rent our main tools.
Apart from that, the rent model avoids the owner of the software to be forced to improve the software itself, can you name some serious improvements in Adobe software since CC? Some real ones, like the unes there used to be from CS5 to CS6… there is no remarkable improvement, and there won’t be, they don’t need to improve it, or you pay for it or you can’t use it… so yay! A new bezier tool!!! Something that you was able to do with the pen but in an akward manner… great!
Cheers
You can’t complain but i can. Ten dollars a month is still too much. You never get to own the program and with that adobe has lost their touch there’s better on the horizon and that’s Affinity Photo. Has this latest tool and more. Plus you can own it for a simple price of fifty dollars. Sorry anybody who still with adobe should really consider what their paying for.
Linked smart objects is by far the most used new feature that I use that I can’t live without. I don’t agree with the subscription model, and the updates for the most part are lacking per release. But overall, CC is an improvement in speed and performance, better smart object support, touch support, and other little things that I use all the time which I don’t realize weren’t in, or were not that good in CS6, until I have to use CS6. Once you use them and get used to them, going backwards to CS6 is painful when I have to use it.
I follow Deke McClelland on Lynda, he’s one of the best at explaining the new features and how to actually make use of them. I’ve learned more watching him every now and then, than what I learned in 2 years in school or 11 years on the job.
