Steam AI policy updated
Valve, the company behind Steam, has announced changes to how they handle games that use AI technology. Developers will now need to fill out a new AI disclosure section in the Content Survey when submitting games to Steam. This section separates AI usage into two categories: pre-generated content and live-generated content. Valve will review the disclosure and evaluate the output of AI generated content in games. They have also introduced a new system for players to report illegal content in games with live-generated AI. The changes aim to be more open to releasing games that use AI technology on Steam.
