Stockholm-based Syndicate Entertainment studio have released a sub-surface scattering shader that offers fast, high quality, production proven sub-surface scattering effects for the scanline renderer in 3DS Max 2010. Features include: easy blending between SSS and Blinn shading, single and multiple scattering, controllable anisotropy, custom depth colors, etc. A free lite version is available.
