Blender and Modo comparison videos

(Updated) New videos added.
After using Cinema 4D, Maya and Modo for a number of years, German artist Chris Offner has decided to learn Blender and incorporate it to his toolset. He has recorded a few videos discussing the differences between Blender and other software (mainly Modo), which have in turn prompted interesting threads on the The Foundry's and Blender Artists' forums.

Petigor’s Tale video game created with Blend4Web

The developers of Blend4Web, the open source framework for creating browser-based 3D visualizations, games and interactive presentations, have released their first game created completely using open source software, including Blender, Krita, GIMP, Audacity and, of course, Blend4Web. Monthly membership at FXPHD

The online VFX training website, FXPHD, has announced that they have changed their term based pricing model to a monthly subscription. Previously, users would pay a set fee based on how many courses they were enrolled in; the more courses, the higher the fee. Now, FXPHD is offering monthly subscriptions which will grant users access to all courses. For more details on this new pricing, you can visit the FXPHD website.
