Danish director and VFX artist Henrik Bjerregaard Clausen has recently directed an 'ident' video for Scandinavian production company Level Up Pictures. Scanned and ready-posed 3D people – business and casual

HDRI-Hub has released two collections of stock models of 3D people, captured in 3D using photogrammetry. Each model comes in two versions, 30k and 100k polygons. Formats include 3DS Max + V-Ray, C4D R14 + V-Ray and Obj. More on HDRI-Hub's website: Renderpeople Business 01, Renderpeople Casual 01.

BulletFX for 3DS Max preview

AlphaVFX announced the upcoming release of BulletFX, a GPU-accelerated, highly customized and optimized version of the Bullet Physics library designed specifically for 3DS Max. Features include rigid bodies, sticky objects, ropes, aerodynamics, a GPU-accelerated pipeline and an in-depth Maxscript API. The plugin is currently in beta, with more features on the way, such as a finite elements solver, fluids, granular solver, etc. The author is taking suggestions on other tools that could be added to the plugin. Lucasfilm and ILM launch VR-focused ILMxLAB

Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) and parent company Lucasfilm announced the formation of the ILM Experience Lab (ILMxLAB), a new division that will draw upon the talents of Lucasfilm, ILM and Skywalker Sound to develop virtual reality, augmented reality, real-time cinema, theme park entertainment and narrative-based experiences for future platforms. Mold3D Academy offers online 3D printing courses

CG artists Robert Vignone and Edward Quintero have launched an online training site dedicated to teaching courses that focus on 3D Printing/prototyping and 3D modeling, such as toy design, jewelry design, product/industrial design and prototyping for the entertainment industry. FumeFX 4.0 on the horizon

Sitni Sati has published some information on its Facebook page, announcing an upcoming 4.0 version of its fluid dynamics plugin for 3DS Max and Maya, stating that it will feature a new solver that will make it faster, especially on large grids that are common in production.
