Bolt Graphics has joined the Blender Development Fund as a Corporate Patron sponsor. The semiconductor startup, which is developing graphics processors designed for rendering, high-performance computing, and gaming, will support Blender’s core development activities through its contribution.
The company stated that its team uses Blender both for benchmarking its technology and for creative work. Founder and CEO Darwesh Singh noted that his personal experience with Blender influenced the decision, highlighting that he first used the software when he had no means to contribute financially, and that supporting it now reflects a full-circle moment for the company.
The Blender Foundation confirmed that the funding will be allocated to ongoing core development, aimed at improving Blender’s features for individual creators and small teams. The foundation acknowledged that Bolt Graphics’ vision of accessible, open-source tools aligns with Blender’s long-standing mission.
Blender remains one of the most widely used open-source 3D creation applications, offering tools for modeling, animation, visual effects, and more, and is maintained by the Blender Foundation.
