Epic Games to launch Fab, unifying its digital content marketplaces in October
Epic Games has announced the upcoming launch of Fab, its new digital content marketplace, consolidating its previous platforms—Unreal Engine Marketplace, Sketchfab, ArtStation Marketplace, and Quixel. Fab will be live in mid-October 2024, promising creators a unified space to buy, sell, and share assets across industries. It will provide multi-engine support, including compatibility with Unreal Engine, Unity, and various digital creation tools, while offering an 88/12 revenue split for creators.
The Unreal Engine Marketplace will be fully replaced by Fab, with existing products migrating and gaining expanded licensing options and real-time 3D previews. Sketchfab’s licensable content will also move to Fab, though Sketchfab.com will continue its 3D model hosting services. Quixel Megascans will transition to Fab, with most assets remaining free until the end of 2024, after which paid options will be introduced. ArtStation Marketplace will integrate with Fab in 2025, while ArtStation itself remains focused on portfolios and artist development.

This website will become the main 3d asset platform for the next decade.
That’s a good idea to unify and have a dedicated website.
I hope the UI and clients will be better than existing solutions.
i hate fierce competition , can cause OCD for a newbie like me if i want to start selling for main income.
