SNOWbase and SPRINGbase are collections of High-Res texture maps in HDR-format. Low-res blurred versions of the images are included to allow users to lighten scenes with faster rendering speed and smoother sampling distribution.
While SNOWbase is a collection of winterly snow-locations, You will
find more summerly locations which fresh growing vegetation on the
SPRINGbase.
The SNOWbase as well as the SPRINGbase have HDRview V 1.0 (WIN)
enclosed, a viewing application for HighDynamicRange-Imagery.
HDRview (development PixelLight) uses a highquality Realtime-engine for
realistic presentation of the perspective behavior concerning full
spherical Panoramas.
Techspecs:
SNOWbase
– 40 different sets (*.hdr + *.tif)
winterly landscapes, snow-situations
– resolution of 4000×2000 pixels
– color, mono + blurry version of each set (->120 HDRIs)
– all HDRIs are full spherical panorama images
– easy-to-use database interface
– HDR + LDR version enclosed
– HDRIview V1.0 (WIN) enclosed
SPRINGbase
– 40 different sets (*.hdr + *.tif)
winterly landscapes, snow-situations
– resolution of 4000×2000 pixels
– color, mono + blurry version of each set (->120 HDRIs)
– all HDRIs are full spherical panorama images
– easy-to-use database interface
– HDR + LDR version enclosed
– HDRIview V1.0 (WIN) enclosed
Each of the 40 HDR-images is enclosed in 3 different HDR- and 2 different LDR-variations.
The highres versions (4000×2000 in color and b/w) are well suited for
most job-situations where a reflection-environment is needed.
Using the enclosed blurred versions (200×100 in color and b/w) of the
panoramas, the artist is able to lighten scenes (in most cases) with
faster rendering speed/smoother sampling distribution. Using such a
combination of LowRes and HighRes HDR-images the artist receives
freedom of choice while keeping speed and quality concerning the output.
