Maxon has announced a new integration plugin for Unity called Cineware. It allows the user to integrate Cinema 4D scenes into Unity including geometry, materials, lights, and cameras. No Cinema 4D license is required to import translated files into the editor. All the user needs to do is make sure Cinema 4D scenes have been “Saved for Cineware”. Find out more on the Unity Asset store.
Damn i always feel like c4D is so many years behind all the software, surprised people still use it.
Good software none the less but just so slow on updates and super expensive, and in today’s generation losing relevance fast.
Does Not crash often though =)
i agree. I used c4d for 10years and last year i switched to blender because c4d’s slow development and maxon’s decision to stop MSA – so it looks like they are going to force users to subscription and they got redshift and redgiant so their ex-adobe ceo is most likely making maxon ready for adobe.
UI is nice and its userfriendly but the development has been joke for at least 5years (latest update was: new licensing server).
And they have been rewritten “core” for 10years. And still its missing dynatopo sculpting features and they have many good tools which have been left for dying (like polygonpen which had potentional for many other things if it would be imrpoved) also thinkin particles has got no new features so thats why x-particles was greated and its great plugin but c4d should have integrated x-particles if it wanna be good at something. Still it has these good mograph tools but those are old tech. No new innovation. C4D is lacking behind. Also Modo has slow development. Well also Audodesk. Only HoudiniFX is making real and impressive progress just like Blender did last year (so many things). And now blender’s UI is much more modern than C4D.
