Jeff Lim has updated his blog with a great overview of how he implemented a fluid solver into Particle Flow Box #3. The method has been tested and confirmed to work in the new 2014 release. At the bottom of his blog update, he says he plans to promote it to a 3D solver (but notes that it will be slow) and implement object support. Read the full update and download the example on Jeff Lim’s blog.
Jeff is such an important RnD institution in the Max community! If you haven’t checked his settings comparison RnD on FumeFX you definitely should!
Agreed, he is always coming up with something interesting and useful…
err ActiveType 😉
haha thanks guys, the cg community is always such a great source of inspiration 🙂
I added some more examples at the blog just in case some of you haven’t seen it yet.
This is awesome! congratulations on successfully implementing Jos algorithms in MXS. Thats pretty cool that u made it modular in Box#3.
But yeah, its must be slow. My mxs solver is pretty much the same slow.
cheers
