After Effects CC 2015 v13.6 and Character Animator Preview 3 updates available

New features in Adobe's compositing, VFX and motion graphics application include: performance and UI improvements for previews, multi-touch gestures, optimizations for small and high-res screens, improved color fidelity, new importers, scripting additions, the ability to search and license stock video from within After Effects, and streamlined Creative Cloud Libraries workflows. Flash Professional becomes Adobe Animate

As web-based animation is increasingly using the open standard HTML over Adobe's proprietary Flash, and the later keeps decreasing in popularity, the company has now renamed Flash Professional to Adobe Animate, and has outlined its plans for future developments of the tool. More on Adobe's website.
